Who is Lenny Cardenas?

Baton Rouge native, Leonard “Lenny” Cardenas III founded the Cardenas Law firm in 1995, after many years of practicing law for a major law firm in Baton Rouge since 1987 where he almost exclusively represented most of the major and many other insurance companies and large corporations.

Upon beginning his own law firm, Lenny began to represent individuals who were either accident victims or who had damages claims against insurance companies or large corporations. By the year 2000, Lenny determined that his heart and principles rested in representing persons who were victims of others’ fault resulting in personal and bodily injuries, or who had been unlawfully damaged economically, and dedicated himself to exclusively representing plaintiffs, and not insurance companies or large corporate defendants, and he has continued to do so. Over the almost 24 years of his continuous law practice, Lenny has been involved in many jury trials with very successful results and very large monetary damage awards. Lenny has also successfully created new law favoring accident victims by taking several cases all the way to the Louisiana Supreme Court which agreed with his interpretation of the law or what it should be, setting several legal precedents now relied on by Louisiana attorneys.

Lenny is a Board Certified Trial Attorney, certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, one of few licensed Louisiana attorneys to hold that Board Certification. Lenny is also admitted and licensed to practice law in the State of Texas, and has been involved in handling cases in many other states including Mississippi, California, Georgia, Florida, Ohio, Arkansas, and Alabama.

Because he speaks fluent Spanish, Lenny has been able to represent Spanish speaking clients, many of whom speak little or no English, giving him a very diverse client base, from the impoverished to successful professionals who have been the victims of others’ unlawful conduct or actions.

We take the concerns of your family very seriously, and we will
represent you and your family as we would our own.”

Lenny is the proud father of six children, 3 boys and 3 girls. Even when put to the test he has shown his devotion to his children. He has accomplished things that he never thought possible and hopes to see them do the same. Lenny has shown them that through perseverance and determination they can grow into the same success he has achieved.
